We offer programs for Grades 4–12 (ages 9–18), including our Learn to Curl program and Competitive Team program—and we need your help to support the next generation of curlers! ✨
OPEN VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
đź“‹Â Youth Curling Program Coordinator
We’re looking for someone with strong organizational skills and curling knowledge to help coordinate and organize our junior curling program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys planning, communicating, and helping create a positive experience for our young curlers!
🥌 Youth Coaches
Help teach, encourage, and build skills both on and off the ice! We’re looking for individuals with curling knowledge and a passion for helping young athletes develop confidence, skills, and sportsmanship.
Coaching school teams:Â Coaches will require curling knowledge and completion of the following:
✔️ Respect in Sport
✔️ Concussion Protocol
✔️ Coaching School Sport: Redefining Winning
✔️ Criminal Record Check, with a vulnerable Sector Check
Coaching non-school teams: Coaches will require a Criminal Record Check, with a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Junior Curling Program
Whether you’re brand new to curling or ready to build your skills, the Kindersley Curling Club offers junior programs designed to help participants learn, grow, and have fun on the ice.Our programs provide a welcoming environment where curlers can develop their skills, learn the game, build confidence, and become part of the curling community.
Learn to Curl Program

A fun and welcoming introduction to curling
New to curling? Start here!
The Learn to Curl Program is designed for participants who are new to the sport or who want to enjoy curling without the commitment of joining a team. Sessions focus on the fundamentals of curling, ice safety, and learning the game in a fun and supportive environment. No previous curling experience is required.
Program Details
When: Mondays, 5:15–6:00 p.m.
Session 1: November–December 2026
Session 2: January–February 2027
Program Fee: $50 per child
What You’ll Learn
- Curling safety and ice etiquette
- Basic delivery and balance
- Sweeping technique
- Understanding the curling sheet
- Basic rules and scoring
- Teamwork and sportsmanship
- The fundamentals of gameplay
Junior (Competetive) Curling
Develop your skills. Build confidence. Have fun.
The Junior Curling Program is designed for youth in Grades 4–12 who want to continue developing their curling skills and understanding of the game. The program follows a tiered development model, with curlers grouped according to their skill level and experience.
Program Details
Who: Youth in Grades 4–12
Mondays: 4:00–5:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 4:00–5:30 p.m.
Season: November 2026 to mid-March 2027
Program Fee: $50 per child
*The schedule is subject to change based on ice availability and competitive curling requirements. Depending on tier placement or team involvement, additional costs may include bonspiel fees, travel, or other expenses.*
What You’ll Learn
- Developing delivery, balance and consistency
- Improving sweeping technique and communication
- Developing draw, hit and takeout skills
- Shot selection and decision-making
- Game strategy and understanding gameplay
- Teamwork, communication and sportsmanship
- Applying skills through drills, challenges and games
School Curling
Participants in Grades 7–12 are eligible to participate on school curling teams.
School Curling can help young curlers build the skills, confidence, and game experience they need to participate in school and competitive curling. Register through your child’s school.
Before You Hit the Ice
Brooms and sliders are provided. Participants should wear clean, non-marking indoor runners and comfortable, warm clothing that allows for easy movement. Jeans are not permitted on the ice.
